High drama from Miami as Isack Hadjar is set to be disqualified from the Miami Grand Prix qualifying classifications.
Isack Hadjar is set to be disqualified from the qualifying classification following the Miami Grand Prix as a result of an alleged technical infringement. Red Bull had a mixed qualifying session on Saturday, with Hadjar finishing only in ninth place in Q3. Meanwhile, his teammate, Max Verstappen, challenged for pole position and ended up in second place behind Kimi Antonelli. The FIA noted that Hadjar’s vehicle had a floor protrusion of 2mm beyond the reference volume during the post-session checks. The technical delegate referred the matter to the stewards, and given the nature of the violation, disqualification is likely. If confirmed, Hadjar will have to start Sunday’s race from the pit lane.
